FACULTY POSITIONS AT IISER PUNE

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune has been set up by the Government of India, at par with the IITs and IISc Bangalore. The Government of India has generously invested in IISER to set up state-of-the-art research facilities in all branches of basic science (physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology) and to promote interdisciplinary areas of research. IISER Pune pursues full-fledged research not only at the institute and but also in a network arrangement with other internationally reputed research institutions. IISER Pune is already equipped with state of the art research facilities.   (Web address) IISER Pune invites applications for faculty positions from candidates possessing excellent academic records and research experience. IISER Pune aims to provide an excellent academic ambience and attractive research funding.  Faculty members will also receive a professional development allowance of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) per year for a period of 3 years for the expenses towards participating in national/international conferences, membership fee of professional bodies and contingent expenses etc.  Salary will be as per the pay structure given below with allowances as admissible to Central Government employees in Pune.  In addition, faculty joining IISER Pune will be eligible for medical reimbursement as per the Central Government Health Scheme and New Pension Scheme applicable to the government employees joining on or after January 01, 2004.

Until the faculty housing comes up on campus, the Institute will provide rented/leased accommodation.

 Applicants with a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or an allied subject with teaching and Post-Doctoral research experience of minimum 3 years in relevant areas (experience criteria may be relaxed for exceptional candidates) may send their applications to:
