  21. Prof AA Natu and three others led a team of Indian students at the 48th International Chemistry Olympiad held Tbilisi, Georgia. The team bagged two gold and two silver medals. Indian Express reported the news. August 5, 2016

  22. In collaboration with IISER Pune and University of Melbourne (UoM), SP Pune University launched a new blended three-year BSc course on May 6, 2016. University of Melbourne announced the launch on their website. June 1, 2016

  28. Prof KNGanesh (Director, IISER Pune) was recently appointed as a Chief Editor of a new open-access journal of the American Chemical Society called ACS Omega.
