Pedagogy Workshops for UG Science Teachers  Dec 15, 2016

COESME at IISER Pune in association with the DBT (Govt. of India) and the Newton Bhabha Fund (British Council) are organising:

Pedagogy Workshops
for Teachers of Undergraduate Science and Mathematics Courses
Overview: A team from Sheffield Hallam University, UK and Indian experts on education and policy will conduct this workshop. It will introduce participants to research-based pedagogical tools that focus on the process of science rather than facts. It will be a hands-on workshop with participants preparing their own teaching tools and reviewing those of others. The teachers will also get an opportunity to share their own teaching innovations with peers and experts.
There are no charges to the participants selected for this workshop. Travelling Allowance will be paid to selected participants.

Eligibility:  Teachers teaching any discipline of basic science or mathematics with either a masters degree + 10 years teaching experience or a PhD degree + 5 years teaching experience are eligible to apply. Highly motivated/exceptional candidates with lesser experience may be considered. Teachers teaching MSc courses in basic sciences are also welcome to apply.
