Welcome to the International Relations Office (IRO) webpage.

The IRO contributes to the internationalisation of IISER Pune through leadership and support in:

  • Development and implementation of the Institute’s vision and strategy in maintaining international relations
  • Promoting relationships with overseas universities and institutions, and helping define the scope of such relationships through appropriate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)
  • Monitoring of diplomatic relations strategy with key government agencies and embassies in India and abroad
  • Development, promotion and coordination of protocol for the management of visiting international delegations
  • Participation in organisation of international events to develop partnerships in line with the Institute’s vision and academic program
  • Organisation and administration of exchange of students and staff, advice on scholarships and other forms of support
  • Facilitation of visits of foreign students and faculty to IISER Pune from various countries across the globe
  • Arranging accommodation for students and faculty members visiting IISER Pune as a part of various exchange programmes
  • Helping international students with immigration formalities and guiding them through the necessary paper work
