How to Reach Pune:
Pune is well connected by air to other major cities in India. The airport is in LoheGaon. Pune is also easy to reach by train. Another option, particularly for international visitors, is to travel to Mumbai and then take a taxi or bus to Pune.

How to reach IISER from the airport:
By taxi, IISER is about 20 km from the airport. Pashan Circle is a well known landmark, very close to IISER. The Sai Trinity Towers are located about 200 meters from this circle. IISER is located in the central tower while a branch of Cosmos bank occupies the first tower. You could also take a bus from the airport to Pune station and then take an auto or bus from there to Pashan circle.
How to reach IISER from Train Station:
An auto from the railway station to Pashan circle will cost you about Rs. 100. The distance is roughly 10 kms. Note: Autorickshaws will charge you double-rate at night.
How to reach the IISER Guest House :
The IISER guest house is about 3 kms from the institute on the Sus-Baner Link road. Take the first left immediately after the HDFC bank on that road (when coming from Sus road) to the Meera Mohan apartments (at the very end, on the right).
Pune from Mumbai:
From the Mumbai airport, take a taxi to Pune (Coolcabs for example). One can also go to the Mumbai CST station and take a train to Pune. Tickets may be booked in advance - please visit the Indian Railways site.
One can also travel from Dadar or Borivali by a Volvo bus to Pune. This will cost you about Rs. 300.
