Abstract:
The dynamics of a nonrelativistic charged particle in a constant magnetic field is an old problem that has been studied extensively. We revisit the classical and quantum aspects of this problem (and some generalisations) and present a comprehensive overview, which will be largely pedagogical. We shall also discuss some novel issues that are of topical interest.
