Duration

Organic co-crystals form via hydrogen bonding or π–π stacking between donor-acceptor molecules, offering tunable packing and optoelectronic properties. TADF relies on a narrow singlet-triplet gap (ΔEST eV) for thermal upconversion and full triplet harvesting in OLEDs. RTP achieves phosphorescence at ambient conditions by rigidifying lattices to curb non-radiative losses. Acceptor moiety tuning—via electron deficiency or shape—controls ΔEST, ISC, and aggregation for TADF/RTP modulation. These dual emitters support white OLEDs, responsive sensors, and long-lived afterglow inks (ms to s).

Required knowledge

Basic Molecular spectroscopy, and slight knowledge of Organic name reactions.

IISER Pune invites applications from research oriented students to participate in its Summer Student Programmes. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to participate in the research programmes of IISER-Pune faculty. Research activities in IISER-Pune span both theory and experiment in Biology, Chemistry, Data Science, Earth and Climate Science, Mathematics, Humanities, Physics and Earth Sciences with a strong focus on interdisciplinary research. These summer projects are also an opportunity for students to evaluate the suitability of various programmes at IISER-Pune (Integrated PhD and PhD) for future career choice.

This application form is meant for non-IISER Pune students.
This web registration process is not meant for Summer fellows selected for IISER-Pune through other fellowship programmes like IASc and JNCASR.

Personal details
Current Course

Note: There is a profusion of 4-5 year course in the country which result in a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Please select the closest equivalent in the drop-down list under PROGRAMME-YEAR above. Counting the years since end of 12th standard is perhaps the best way.

Academic Performance
During Previous 3 Years (Percentage)

Notes:
1. Convert all letter grades into a percentage (your institution should be able to help with the conversion). Do not type in the percentage symbol or text
2. Round the percentage to the nearest integer.
3. Grades of previous 3 years - back to 11th standard, if necessary.
4. If you have a year's break from education (i.e. a gap year) please enter 0 against the corresponding year.
