Sports Facilities

John F. Kennedy once said, physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. At IISER Pune, sports are an integral part of campus life. Facilities for various sports are available on the campus. A cricket ground, a football field, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, tennis and badminton courts are part of the sports facilities on the campus. IISER Pune also houses a fully equipped gymnasium. Complete with trainers, the gym adds another dimension to the development of the sports programme of IISER Pune. 

Various sporting events for students and staff are frequently organised. Every year one of the IISERs hosts the Inter-IISER Sports Meet. Apart from this, numerous sport events under titles such as Kreeda Jung take place within the IISER Pune community all through the year including in cricket, basketball, football, athletics, kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, volleyball, tennis, and more.
