Maharashtra State Development of Educators and Enhancement in Delivery (MS-DEED) Programme is a close collaboration between IISER Pune and the Maharashtra State Faculty Development Academy (MSFDA) - Centre for Multi-disciplinary Curriculum & Pedagogy under the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.

The programme aims to engage in developing the professional capacity of teachers aligned with NEP 2020 through training faculty members of universities and colleges. Our focus is on integrating classrooms and labs with scientific teaching, active-inquiry-based learning and ‘low threshold high ceiling’ approaches with emphasis on teaching strategies by and for teachers.

IISER Pune started the MS-DEED programme in December 2021 and has conducted several Online and In-person workshops. Since its inception, many science and mathematics teachers and institutions have been reached through these workshops across all districts of Maharashtra State.
