Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship: The MHRD (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020), Govt. of India, launched the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme in February 2018, aimed at attracting talent pool from IISc, IITs, NITs, IISERs, and centrally funded IIITs to doctoral (PhD) programmes of IITs and IISc for carrying out research in frontier areas of science and technology domains. The PMRFs will receive a fellowship of Rs.70,000 to 80,000/- per month in addition to an attractive research grant of Rs. 2.00 lakh per year. For more details about PMRF.
