This project will focus on quantifying the oxidation of petrogenic carbon in river basins. This is a major CO2 source on geological timescales. The intern will explore the application of rhenium in understanding this oxidation pathway and its climatic effect.
Required knowledge
Basic understanding on inorganic chemistry and geology will be beneficial.
