This project will involve charecterization, documentation and identification of seashells from shallow marine record. This record will be used to calculate the diversity and distribution of seashells across habitats. Finally, a model would be developed for reconstructing and comparing with the past ecology and diversity dynamics using probablistic approach.

Required knowledge

MSc 1st year/BSMS 3rd yr majoring in Biology (non-biotech) or Earth Science/Geology. 

Required skills

Interest in Ecology or Paleontology. Prior knowledge of programming would be beneficial.
