Apoptosis inhibitor 5 (Api5) is a chromatin-associated protein implicated in cell survival and therapeutic resistance, notably in cisplatin-resistant cervical cancer.   While known to regulate apoptosis and cell cycle progression, its function during DNA replication and replication stress remains unclear.   This project will investigate how Api5 plays a role in replication stress using several techniques, including immunoblotting and comet assays.

Required knowledge

Basics of cell and molecular biology. Lab experience will be an added advantage.
