Apoptosis inhibitor 5 (Api5) is a chromatin-associated protein implicated in cell survival and therapeutic resistance.  Data from the lab have shown it to be associated with the checkpoint protein ATRIP.  This project will investigate the molecular mechanism of the interaction in the context of the DNA damage signalling cascade.  Immunoblotting and immunofluorescence will be among the techniques employed to address the research questions.

Required knowledge

Basic cell and molecular biology. Lab experience will be an added advantage.
