A select set of IISER Pune courses to be opened for industry professionals

Academic training remains significant and aligned with the ever-evolving industry needs. Industry–academic linkage plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, enhancing skill development, and supporting economic growth. It fosters a symbiotic relationship where knowledge exchange and workforce development go hand in hand.

To enhance the overlap between classroom learning and industry requirements, IISER Pune is now opening some of our regular courses to industry professionals. This initiative is anticipated to empower industry professionals by offering fresh perspectives and research-driven insights, ultimately contributing to sustainable growth and competitiveness. At the same time, classroom interactions between the academic and industry learners is anticipated to enrich the learning outcomes for all. 

IISER Pune is offering the following theory courses to industry professionals from the 2026 August semester onward.

  • Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate will be awarded.
  • Fees: Rs. 50,000/- per course + GST (if applicable)
  • There will be lectures and tutorials during the weekdays.
  • Upon enrollment, industry professionals will have to maintain 60% attendance and attend all the lectures and evaluations (including internal continuous evaluations, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams).
  • The pass criteria for the regular students shall apply to these professionals.
