Punyache Paani - Stories of Pune’s Water
A mix of online and in-person events
The Living Waters Museum (LWM) at the Centre for Water Research at IISER Pune is launching its collaborative virtual exhibition, Punyache Paani – Stories of Pune’s Water from March 27, 2022.
Punyache Paani is a unique online exhibition that celebrates the waters of Pune and traces Pune's water heritage, history and related public health challenges. Using interactive and engaging content, the exhibition explores water from an interdisciplinary lens sensitive to the multiple challenges we face and the need to build holistic and ethical water stewardship. The exhibition is bilingual - English and Marathi - and has been co-curated by Dr. Chhavi Mathur and Dr. Sara Ahmed.
March 27th will be the start of a week of events – academic, social and cultural - around the theme of water ~ People, Places and Practices. Several partners and water professionals from Pune and faculty and students from IISER Pune have been invited to participate in these events and contribute to these critical dialogues.
