Dr. S.V. Sharma worked as Deputy Director and Program Director, URRao Satellite Centre, Bangalore. He has been working in ISRO for over 35 years. He was in-charge of the realization of all the flight hardwares for all the satellites of ISRO. He has contributed significantly in design, development and fabrication of Satellite in various capacities in his service. Passionate and dedicated space technologist, Dr. S.V. Sharma has significantly contributed to the success of ISRO, leading a team of 400 engineers at URSC, ISRO's lead center for satellite design and production. URSC oversees Earth observation, communication, navigation satellites, and interplanetary missions like Chandrayaan and the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). He acted as a vital link for ISRO-Academia interaction, encouraging joint programs such as Student Satellites. Dr. Sharma's relentless efforts have elevated ISRO's reputation nationally and internationally, driving innovation and excellence in India's space program. He is a natural technology visionary leader. His contribution to ISRO in different capacities as Deputy Project Director, Group Director, Program Director, Controller cum vigilance commissioner and Deputy Director is commendable.
