Mental Focus and Discipline to be Global Leaders

Dr. Chaerin Kim is an internationally acclaimed harpist, pianist, composer, conductor, and professor who has made music history as the first soloist ever to perform with an orchestra on both the harp and piano in the same concert—while premiering her own original composition. A multi-instrumentalist who plays ten instruments, Dr. Kim's works—over 140 released pieces including seven albums—have been performed and broadcast internationally. She has won 13 national and international competitions across the U.S., U.K., Russia, and Korea, and has served as a judge at over 120 international competitions worldwide.


Dr. Kim has performed at Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Sejong Center, and other major venues, and her harp performance featured in the British film Kaleidoscope. She holds degrees from Ewha University, Royal Academy of Music (London), Yale University, and Boston University—where she completed her doctorate in record time. Currently, she serves as Orchestra Conductor in Residence in Estonia, faculty at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and instructor for Harvard University’s Office of the Arts.
