Dr. Nishad Matange, Assistant Professor in Biology and DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance Intermediate Fellow, is among those selected for the 2021 eLife Ben Barres Spotlight Award.
Dr. Matange is one of the ten winners selected this year. The award will support the research and careers of the winners with a grant amount up to USD 6,000.
Named in memory of Dr. Ben Barres for his advocacy for young scientists of diverse backgrounds, this award was instituted by e-Life in 2019 as part of their efforts to encourage greater equity, diversity and inclusion in research.
