CNR Rao Education Foundation's National Prize 2026 to Prof. Nirmalya Ballav and Prof. Sujit Ghosh

Prof. Nirmalya Ballav and Prof. Sujit Kumar Ghosh from the Department of Chemistry have been selected to receive the National Prize for Research in Metal-organic Framework and Porous Materials for the year 2026. This prize is awarded by the C. N. R. Rao Education Foundation.

This award recognises the distinguished research contributions of Prof. Ballav  and Prof. Ghosh in the area of metal-organic frameworks and porous materials, an important and rapidly advancing field of contemporary chemistry with wide-ranging scientific and technological relevance.

The National Prizes instituted by the C. N. R. Rao Education Foundation recognise outstanding contributions to scientific research and celebrates excellence in diverse areas of science. The Foundation, established in honour of the distinguished Indian scientist Professor C. N. R. Rao, has been contributing to the promotion of scientific research and education, while encouraging and recognising excellence among scientists, teachers and students.
