Scholarships for BS-MS students

The five-year integrated BS-MS dual degree programme is IISER Pune’s flagship education programme. Scholarships to deserving students could supplement the costs borne by them for quality education. 

Fellowship for PhD and Integrated PhD programmes

Fellowships to the doctoral students enables them to carry out exemplary research. Such financial support give a sense of financial independence to these doctoral students relieving their families from financial constraints.

Travel Grants

Travel grants enable our researchers to enhance their skills through relevant training programmes, workshops and presenting their research work in National / International scientific events.

Endowed Chair Professorship

These provide the resources our faculty need to do outstanding work in research and teaching. They also confer prestige to the holder and the institution. These positions could also lead to the establishment of new areas of specialization through the recruitment of accomplished researchers in specific fields of study.

Young and Mid-Career Researcher Awards

An award to an Assistant / Associate Professor boosts the morale of the faculty members and goes a long way in attracting and retaining the world-class young research talent.

Distinguished Visiting Professorships

These positions are meant to attract well-known experts in their fields to spend a limited period at IISER Pune imparting their rich experience to our students, faculty members and experts in the field.

Post-Doctoral Fellowships

Faculty Research Support

All faculty members are independent researchers and pursue well-formulated research projects. We welcome engagement for such research projects through endowments and sponsorships.

Members of our institute are strongly committed to reach out and communicate science to the larger society around us. We welcome our partners to contribute to these activities and groups. We hope to build a corpus fund from multiple sources which can provide supplemental support to similar activities as and when needed.

Institute Development

"Institute Development Fund" is earmarked for areas of greatest need that includes modernization and establishment of new academic, research and campus infrastructure. 

We constantly strive to develop and upgrade teaching and research labs where students have the opportunity to pursue experiments as well as advanced research under the mentorship of world-class faculty. Eventually, this should make education and careers in Basic Sciences more exciting and rewarding.

 

Corpus Contribution

A corpus is built up through donations received that are not focussed towards a specific initiative.

Such contributions ensure smooth sustenance of activities that are not supported through governmental or extramural support. They also help in supplementing the functional requirements of the existing facilities at the institute, towards shared research facilities or short term requirements for multiple projects.
