Every year, 26th November is celebrated as Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.

On the occasion of Constitution Day, activities aimed at highlighting and reiterating the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution are organised across India. The IISER Pune community will hold a Reading of the Preamble on this day.
