Dr. Sreejith receives APJ Abdul Kalam Young Researcher Award

Dr. Sreejith G.J. from the Department of Physics received the APJ Abdul Kalam Young Researcher Award from Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The award recognises Dr. Sreejith's contributions to condensed matter physics and statistical mechanics using high-performance computing. 

Named after former President and renowned scientist, the APJ Abdul Kalam HPC Awards were instituted by Hewlett Packard Enterprise to recognise outstanding contributions to the area of high performance computing (HPC) in India. The awards are presented in four categories: R&D in HPC Applications, R&D in HPC Systems (Hardware and Software), Efficient HPC Facility Design and Management, HPC R&D and Facilities. The 2025 round of awards honoured nine researchers at institutions across India working in these areas.

Dr. Sreejith G.J.

Dr. Sreejith is a condensed matter theorist and works on understanding interactions in quantum systems. He uses computational and semi-analytical approaches and is interested in the design of algorithms to aid the study of interacting many body systems.
