Dr. Kalika Prasad elected as a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru

Dr. Kalika Prasad from the Biology Department at IISER Pune has been elected as a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS), Bengaluru.

Founded in 1934, the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru is among the earliest science academies in India. Induction of new Fellows to the academy occurs once a year through nomination and election, and recognises the distinguished contributions of scientists working across India.

Dr. Kalika Prasad works on plant regeneration using it as a model to understand the basic principles and dynamics of self-organization in living organisms. Visit the group website here for more information on their research.
