Prof. Sunil Bhagwat elected as INAE Fellow

Prof. Sunil. S. Bhagwat (Director of IISER Pune and Professor in Chemistry) has been elected a Fellow of the prestigious Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE). See here an announcement by INAE with the list of Elected Fellows for the year 2023, with effect from November 1, 2023. 

Founded in 1987, the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) comprises India's most distinguished engineers, engineer-scientists and technologists. Presently, INAE has 920 Fellows from India and 98 Foreign Fellows representing ten engineering disciplines. 

Prof. Sunil Bhagwat
Prof. Bhagwat has been elected as a INAE Fellow under the Chemical Engineering category. Induction as a Fellow of INAE honors Prof. Sunil Bhagwat's contributions to the area of interfacial science and engineering and to the surfactant development process. Prof. Bhagwat joined IISER Pune as the Director in April 2023, and has been carrying out this work over the last few decades at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai
