Local AI, geometry of neural networks, interpretable network designs

Chaitanya Guttikar obtained his PhD in Algebraic Geometry at Princeton University, he was a visiting faculty at University of Miami. He returned to India in 2010 and became the technical director of Goa Center for Alternative photography and also started a commercial photography and cinematography business. Since 2015, he have been providing consulting services to the industry on engineering and design problems. He uses his math and physics expertise to solve design problems that create significant impact for businesses.

Artificial Intelligence Transformations for SMBs in developing countries

Chaitanya Guttikar's research in AI revolves around geometric methods. The goal is finding solutions for empowering SMBs in developing countries to navigate the AI landscape clarity and independence. Limited cloud infrastructure, bandwidth constraints, cost sensitivity, and skill gaps mean that approaches designed for Silicon Valley often fail elsewhere. His research specializes in creating AI strategies that work within real-world constraints of a country like India, where labor is cheap yet not always trained and infrastructure is unreliable.
