Grammarly: Writing support tool
Library subscribe to Grammarly: Writing support web tool. Since Grammarly is a web based tool and not IP authenticated, it can be accessed and used from outside campus also using registered account credentials.

To convert a free account of Grammarly to a Grammarly premium account, follow the below given steps :
- Log into existing Grammarly free account (http://www.grammarly.com) .
- Visit the Profile page and click on the "Account" at https://account.grammarly.com .
- Click the "Delete account" link, confirm the password and delete.
- Go to http://www.grammarly.com/edu/signup. Enter your name, email (@students.iiserpune.ac.in or @iiserpune.ac.in), and preferred password to sign up for a Grammarly account.
- Check your email (Inbox, Spam and Promotion folder) for a confirmation email and click the link inside to verify the premium account.
- Log in to your account at Grammarly@EDU
New Registration
Follow the below given steps to register with Grammarly premium software:
- Go to http://www.grammarly.com/edu/signup (mandatory to sign up from this URL)
- Click on signup button, fill up the self-service form. For registration, use your official email id only (@iiserpune.ac.in or @students.iiserpune.ac.in)
- After clicking signup, an activation email will be sent to the user's institutional email ID.
Note: Your credential verification activation email will be sent to your institutional email ID after registration. You may at times get this in Spam Folder due to mail setting. Hence, you are advised to check spam folder in case the link is not received in the inbox.
Once registered and logged in, you will land on the 'Grammarly Editor' which is easy to use and can be explored by yourself.
The MS Word Plug-in can be downloaded from the support page after registration from the link https://www.grammarly.com/office-addin/windows, the same user ID and Password credentials will grant access to use the Plugin to users.

Web of Science

SciFinder-n Scholar
Library provides online access to SciFinder-n Scholar which gives easy access to the rich and diverse scientific information contained in the CAS databases including Chemical Abstracts from 1907 onwards. The SciFinder-n Scholar offers a variety of pathways to explore CAS databases as well as MEDLINE. SciFinder-n Scholar interface provides the most accurate and comprehensive chemical and related scientific information including: journal articles and patents together in one source, substance data, chemical reactions, chemical regulatory data, chemical suppliers, biomedical literature. SciFinder-n Scholar covers not only chemistry but also Agriculture, Biology and Life Sciences, Engineering, Food, Geology, Medical, Physics, Polymer and Material Sciences.

New User Registration: Follow the below-given steps for one-time registration process. Use only your IISER Pune official e-mail address while registering with SciFinder-n
Note: Below given registration process must be completed within our IP ranges i.e, only within our campus
Step 1
Create your login ID for the SciFinder-n web version by clicking Here (If you see this link in two lines, then you need to copy/paste/join both the lines in your browser and then click Go)
Step 2
You will receive a confirmation email titled "SciFinder-n Registration- Your Confirmation Required" in few minutes. Then click on the email link (in 48 Hrs) and activate your access
Step 3
You can then visit Scifinder-n Login to use SciFinder-n web version

(B) Off-Campus Access
Library provides secured off-campus access to SciFinder-n using the Remote Access Portal
Visit the link https://iiserpune.remotexs.in/user/register and register on the portal using your IISER Pune email ID

MathSciNet (Access provided by eShodSindhu)
Provides web access to the bibliographic data and reviews of mathematical research literature contained in the Mathematical Reviews Database. It Covers world's mathematical literature since 1940. The MathSciNet has signed reviews, powerful search functionality, and timely updates. It fosters the navigation of mathematics literature by providing links to original articles and other original documents, when available, and by encouraging links from journal article references to MathSciNet.
Cambridge Structural Database (CSD)
Library subscribes to Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) which is the world’s comprehensive and up-to-date database of fully validated crystal structures.

ChemDraw
ChemDraw is a molecule editor first developed in 1985 by David A. Evans and Stewart Rubenstein (later by the cheminformatics company CambridgeSoft). ChemDraw helps chemists be more efficient; communicate more clearly; and reach crucial information faster.
Existing Users
Existing users can download the latest version of ChemDraw Professional software using the following option:
- Download directly from the ChemDraw developer site. (Click here for login/download)
New Users Registration
Follow below given steps for one-time registration process. Provide only your IISER Pune official e-mail address while registering with ChemDraw.
- Go to http://sitesubscription.cambridgesoft.com/#I and then search for our institution - Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune.
- When you click the institution link, it will take to a page where the new users need to register under New User Registration (note the old system login credentials will not work here, users need to register using IISER Pune email address), while existing old users can access it by choosing Click here to Login. In the list entitlements, choose the order ID ORD60160 and click on "Download Now".
- After clicking, there you will have two options for access. One is for "New Versions" (Version 22.x) access, and the other is for "Previous Versions" (not recommended). Most Recommended is for Version 22.x.
For Version 22.x Access:
- When you click the Version 22.x access link, it will take to a page where ChemDraw Professional Windows/Mac OSX Installer/User Guide can be downloaded.
- Once registered or already got access, the users can access Flexnet Platform directly at : https://perkinelmer.flexnetoperations.com/control/prkl/login
- Also note that the code is available under your Flexnet Account and to find your activation code, click on "Order History" tab on left navigation pane then click on the applicable order #number and scroll down to the activation code on right side. Note, this code will activate both WIN & MAC platforms.

Derwent Innovation
Derwent Innovation is a world leading patent intelligence, tools and services that power the innovation lifecycle. Its helps to find patent documents, scientific literature articles, and business articles.
It is a database containing patent applications and grants from world's leading patent issuing authorities. Compiled in English by editorial staff, the database provides a short abstract detailing the nature and use of the invention described in a patent and is indexed into alphanumeric technology categories to allow retrieval of relevant patent documents by users.
