Faculty member Prof. Sujit K. Ghosh from the Chemistry department has been selected to receive Dr. P.N. Pathak Memorial Award for the year 2024.
This award has been instituted by the Association of Separation Scientists and Technologists (ASSET) in honour of the late Dr. P.N. Pathak (1970-2014), a reputed scientist who had made outstanding research contributions in separation science and related fields. The award recognises excellence in the field of Separation Science and Technology.
The award ceremony will be held on July 10, 2024, during the inauguration of the XIth DAE-BRNS Symposium on Emerging Trends in Separation Science and Technology (SESTEC-2024) at HSNC University, Mumbai.
Prof. Sujit Ghosh's group works on the design, development and characterisation of advanced porous materials such as Metal-organic Frameworks (MOFs), Metal-organic Polyhedra (MOPs), Porous organic polymers (POPs), etc. Such porous materials are likely to be useful in the chemical industry and for energy and environmental applications. Visit the group's webpage to learn more about their work.
