Dr. Sagar Pandit, faculty member in the department of Biology at IISER Pune, has been named a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Research Ambassador for a period of three years, from 2022 to 2025.

DAAD Research Ambassadors are academicians and scientists who have a long standing relationship with Germany and are interested in promoting research in Germany among peers and students. As established members of the academic/scientific community, they help colleagues and students with questions related to Germany as a location for study or research and also work for facilitating and diversifying the Indo-German research collaborations.
Dr. Sagar Pandit's research group works on various crop-based multitrophic interaction systems with the aim to enhance the biological control of insect pests. Learn more about the group's work here.
