IESA Researcher of the Year Award to Prof Satish Ogale

Prof. Satishchandra B. Ogale has received the India Energy Storage Alliance's "Researcher of the Year" award in an award function held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on May 3, 2023 during the 2023 India Energy Storage Week (IESW) . 
 
This is an Industry Excellence Award instituted by the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA). The IESA primarily focuses on the development of advanced energy storage, green hydrogen, and e-mobility technologies in India. The India Energy Storage Week (IESW) is a flagship international conference & exhibition for industries, policymakers, academia and other contributors in the field of energy storage and green hydrogen.

Speaking about the work that led to the award, Prof. Ogale said that his group's work with LivGuard for battery development for 2 and 3 wheelers, and with KPIT Pune on Na-ion batteries, contributed to this success. He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Rakesh Malhotra (Founder and CEO of SAR group of companies including LivGuard), Mr. Satyajit Athlekar (VP, LivGuard), and Mr. Ravi Pandit (Founder and Group CEO, KPIT Pune).

"This is a rapidly developing field with so many things to do. Thanks to all my students, postdocs and friends for the support. Big thanks also to IISER Pune and RISE TCG-CREST where most of the work is done during the past 12 years," said Prof. Ogale.
