Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, in December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga. The aim of the celebration is to raise awareness on the many benefits of practicing yoga.

As part of the 2025 Yoga Day celebrations, the Yogen Club at IISER Pune organised a 5-day free Yoga workshop for institute members. The workshop was conducted by Yoga Trainer Krutika Shukla. Sessions were planned with these goals in mind: improve flexibility, strength, and balance; reduce stress and increase relaxation; and learn mindfulness and meditation techniques.
