National Prize for Research in Chemical Physics to Prof. Angshuman Nag

Prof. Angshuman Nag, faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at IISER Pune, has been awarded the National Prize for Research in Chemical Physics for the year 2024 by the C.N.R. Rao Education Foundation. The award ceremony was held at JNCASR, Bengaluru on September 25, 2024. 

C.N.R. Rao Education Foundation was established in the year 2005 to encourage enthusiastic and talented young students to take up science subjects at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The Foundation annually awards the National Prize for Research in Chemistry in selected fields to those who have made significant contributions.

Prof.  Angshuman Nag's research focuses on the synthesis and study of nanomaterials for optoelectronic applications. The group works on perovskite nanocrystals, lead-free semiconductors, doping, and surface engineering of nanocrystals for improved charge transport.
