Dr. Kalika Prasad elected as a Fellow of NASI

Dr. Kalika Prasad from the Department of Biology has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI).

Founded in 1930, NASI is the oldest science academy in India and supports scientific excellence across all disciplines. Election as a Fellow of NASI is a prestigious honour that recognises individuals for their outstanding contributions to science and research.

Dr. Kalika Prasad's research at IISER Pune focuses on understanding plant regeneration using it as a model to understand the basic principles and dynamics of self-organisation in living organisms. His work explores how plants regenerate tissues and organs, with an emphasis on the molecular and genetic pathways involved in this process.
