received the Raja Ramanna Fellowship for this year. The fellowship recognises senior
scientists, engineers and technologists involved in developing critical technologies and

A successful field trip was conducted to Andaman Islands amidst pandemic to collect
sediment and water samples to evaluate the effect of oceanographic variables in shaping the
marine biodiversity.

New laboratories of ECS at Mendeleev are operational now!! This augmented space
in Mendeleev has multiple laboratory facilities including Paleobiology laboratory,
Biogeochemistry laboratory, Geophysics laboratory, Geochemistry teaching laboratory,
research space for theoretical and computational work in addition to the exiting labs.
