Two faculty members from the Mathematics department, Dr. Moumanti Podder (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Haripada Sau (Assistant Professor) have been selected as Associates of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS), Bengaluru for the year 2023.

Introduced first in 1983, this programme identifies and provides opportunity to young scientists from diverse institutions and backgrounds to pursue scientific excellence. Dr. Moumanti Podder's research is at the interface of combinatorics, probability, statistical mechanics, and theoretical computer science and Dr. Haripada Sau's research is on Hilbert space operator theory.
