Faculty member Prof. Sujit K. Ghosh from the Chemistry department has received the Distinguished Lectureship Award of the Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ) for the year 2023. This award recognises Prof. Ghosh's work in the area of coordination chemistry.
The Lectureship Award is awarded to young distinguished Asian researchers (45 years old or younger) and is given to those who have achieved remarkable results in chemistry fields. Lectureship Award winners are requested to give a Keynote Lecture during the CSJ Annual Meeting.
Prof. Sujit Ghosh's group works on the design, development and characterisation of advanced porous materials such as Metal-organic Frameworks (MOFs), Metal-organic Polyhedra (MOPs), Porous organic polymers (POPs), etc. Such porous materials are likely to be useful in the chemical industry and for energy and environmental applications. Visit the group's webpage to learn more about their work.
