Faculty member Prof. Partha Hazra from the Chemistry department has received the JSPS Invitational Fellowship for Research in Japan (Short Term) for the Financial Year 2023 by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
The JSPS carries out programmes that provide excellent researchers from countries outside Japan an opportunity to conduct collaborative research, discussions, and opinion exchanges with researchers in Japan. These programmes help advance research while also promoting internationalisation in Japan.

Prof. Partha Hazra's group works on the design, synthesis, and photophysics of fluorescent and luminescent compounds, which can then be used to probe dynamics. Visit the group's webpage to learn more about their work.
